What to expect & FAQs

OVERVIEW
What to expect in your baby massage class
At Mini & Me Baby Massage, I strive to provide a safe and comfortable environment for all new parents and their babies. Here's what you can expect when you attend one of our classes:
-
A supportive and welcoming atmosphere where you can connect with other moms and bond with your baby
-
Sessions that teach you the foundational techniques of baby massage, providing step-by-step instructions and hands-on demonstrations
-
A small class size to ensure individual attention and ample opportunity to ask questions and receive personalized feedback
-
A judgement-free zone where you can share your experiences and get support from other parents
-
What should I bring to class? You'll want to bring a blanket or towel to lay your baby on, as well as any supplies you might need like diapers, wipes, or extra clothes. I'll provide massage oil and any other materials you need for the massage. I also suggest wearing comfortable clothing that allow you to move and sit comfortably on the floor.
-
What if my baby is fussy or doesn't want to participate? As you already know, babies are unpredictable! The classes are designed to be flexible and accommodating to everyone, including the babies. If your baby is fussy or doesn't want to continue, you can always take a break or try again later. Also, you're welcome to step in and out of class as you please to take care of your little one.
-
What if I need to miss a class?I understand that life happens! If you miss a class, I'll do my best to catch you up on anything you missed. I can also provide you with written materials and resources to help you practice at home. If there is availability, I can also arrange a makeup session for any missed classes.
-
What is the age requirement for babies to attend the classes? The classes are best for any baby who is pre-crawling.
-
Can I bring my partner or a family member to the class?I prefer to keep the 6-week group course intimate so everyone feels comfortable connecting and sharing experiences. Because of that, I ask that partners or family members don't attend any classes in the 6-week courses. However, I host special events on occasion that are perfect for partners and/or family members to attend and get involved in baby massage. See the upcoming Classes & Events to sign up!
-
Can I bring other children or siblings to the classes with me?Unfortunately, I don't allow other children or siblings to attend the classes with you as it can be distracting for both you, your baby, and others in the class. If you need to miss a class to care for another child, let me know and we can arrange for you to get the information you miss!
-
Can I take the class if my baby has special needs?Absolutely! I welcome babies of all abilities and needs. If you have any concerns or questions, please let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate you and your baby.
-
Can I gift the class to someone else?Yes! The classes make great gifts for new parents or expectant mothers. You can purchase a gift card or contact me for more information on how to gift a class to someone else.

Are baby massage classes covered by insurance? If you are on the appropriate plan with your health insurance company you will be able to claim a refund of fees. All the major Health Insurance companies in Ireland (VHI, Aviva, Laya and GloHealth) refund up to €100 of the cost of a course. It is important to note that to qualify for this refund you must do a course with an instructor who is a member of Baby Massage Ireland (like me!). You should check with your health insurance provider to ensure you are on a plan that qualifies and your instructor will give you with a receipt which will enable you to claim the refund.
